ASHLYN LANING

STAGE MANAGER - SOUND DESIGNER - DIRECTOR

Ashlyn Laning is a New York City–based Stage Manager originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. Raised in a city built on live entertainment, she grew up attending touring productions at The Smith Center, local theatre at Super Summer Theatre, and performances by Cirque du Soleil. She began stage managing during her sophomore year of high school and quickly found a passion for the work, going on to begin professional stage management at the age of sixteen.

Following high school, Ashlyn attended Concordia University Irvine, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in Technical Design and Production. During this time, she continued to develop her approach to stage management, rooted in the belief that strong, supported teams create the strongest work.

Ashlyn spent two and a half years in Las Vegas working in production management, building a wide-ranging skill set across multiple areas of the production process before relocating to New York City.

Since moving to New York, her credits include The Jordan & Avery Show (Prospect Musicals) and Pirates of Penzance (NYU Steinhardt), among others. Across all of her work, she prioritizes creating environments where artists feel supported, prepared, and able to do their best work.
